Apply Product Sales Prices from Purchase Orders

This document outlines a key feature within the Axanta ERP system that allows for the direct modification of product sales prices from within a purchase order. The core functionality is designed to streamline pricing updates by enabling users to adjust sales prices at the moment purchase costs are finalized.

The system offers two primary methods for price updates: direct manual entry or an automated calculation based on a specified profit margin or markup. A critical prerequisite for this feature is a two-part setup process involving the activation of a user-level permission and the assignment of a price list at the warehouse level. The latter is noted as "very crucial" for businesses with location-specific pricing strategies.

A significant aspect of this feature is its ability to handle products with multiple Units of Measure (UOM), ensuring price changes are propagated correctly across all variants. Furthermore, an advanced "Update Metrics" function allows businesses to lock in a consistent profit margin for a product. When enabled, the system will automatically suggest new sales prices on future purchase orders to maintain this margin, even as purchase costs fluctuate. This provides a powerful mechanism for maintaining consistent profitability.
